Every year on National Wreaths Across America Day, communities across the nation gather to remember our fallen veterans, honor those who served, and teach future generations about the value of freedom.
Here in Cedar Key, our historic cemetery serves as the final resting place for 228 military veterans who bravely served our country across generations.
On Saturday, December 19, 2026, at 11:00 AM, friends, families, and neighbors will gather at Cedar Key Cemetery for a special remembrance ceremony to place a fresh ceremonial wreath on each veteran's gravesite.
However, these wreaths are not provided for free—our community relies entirely on local generosity and annual fundraising to ensure no local hero is forgotten.
The Goal: $3,876.00 to Honor 228 Veterans
To cover the cost of all 228 wreaths, $3,876.00 must be raised each year ($17.00 per wreath).
We are reaching out to ask for your support to help us reach this goal before December. Will you consider sponsoring a wreath (or several) to ensure every veteran’s grave receives this honor?
