Must Watch: We moved to Cedar Key on July 30, 2016. Hurricane Hermine hit September 1, 2016. We evacuated for two days and when we came home, we discovered our townhouse had flooded. We received nothing but support and encouragement from everyone around us. The community came together and helped each other with any need they could. People came from out of town with food, supplies, and anything that we needed. This is my favorite video to describe what it is like going through this type of disaster in a community like Cedar Key. I am happy that I have gotten to know many of the people in this video. (We have since been through two other hurricanes here and the community is stronger than ever.)
