Feeding Florida and Cedar Key Clams
Our own Cedar Key Aquaculture Farms has partnered with Feeding Florida to bring nutrient-rich clams to food pantries across the state of Florida. This collaboration represents a significant milestone for our local industry and the broader community. This partnership not only highlights the incredible bounty of our coastal ecosystem but also demonstrates a deep commitment to tackling food insecurity across the entire state of Florida with fresh, sustainable seafood.

🐚 Local Tip: Parking on the island can get tight during peak March weekends—golf carts and bicycles are your best friends!

In case you missed the news…
Big Deck has begun rebuilding!
Everyone is excited to see all the progress on Dock St. This is the site of Big Deck, coming back stronger than ever. Concrete is poured in to the black column forms and this will be the poles that hold the new roof. There will be an outdoor seating area, as before, but have a concrete bar.

Horseshoe Crab Taggers Needed!
Volunteers will be familiarized with sampling procedures, gear and understand how the data they collect is used by the FWC and other agencies. Volunteers who complete the workshop will be eligible to volunteer for the Florida Horseshoe Crab Watch Citizen Science program, but are not required to do so.
