September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month—a vital time to come together, check in on our neighbors, and remind everyone in our community that Cedar Key Cares and no one has to walk through tough times alone.
This month, I Love Cedar Key is proud to partner with the Cedar Key Food Pantry and Christ Episcopal Church Cedar Key to raise awareness and bring outreach resources directly to our island.
Through our Cedar Key Cares initiative, we’ve secured helpful awareness materials—including stickers, magnets, and posters—offering crisis contact information and support resources. Our goal is to distribute these items throughout our community so help is always within reach.
Calling All Local Businesses! If you own or operate a local business, we need your help to spread the message that Cedar Key Cares. We are looking for shop owners, restaurants, and local spots willing to put up materials in key spaces—whether that’s in customer areas, restrooms, or employee-only work areas like break rooms and staff bulletin boards.
Want materials for your business? Contact Phil Prescott (352-348-4372), Sue Colson (352-477-0136), Lisa Custer (352-293-1733) or use the contact I Love Cedar Key form at the bottom of the home page to request materials for your location.
Order direct: If you or your organization would like to order your own free official print materials, banners, or digital assets, you can order directly through the 988 Lifeline Media & Resources Page.

A single sticker, magnet, or poster in a break room or restroom could be the gentle reminder someone needs to know they are valued and supported. Let's work together to show that Cedar Key Cares!
