“Stars of Cedar Key” by Glen Spaulding
To do: The Old Florida Celebration of the Arts is Cedar Key’s premier art event, and in 2026, it will be celebrating its 62nd anniversary. It’s consistently ranked as one of the top small-town art fairs in the country. This is a juried show, meaning only 100 high-quality artists and craftsmen are selected to participate. You’ll see everything from painting, sculpture, and photography to ceramics, textiles, and fine jewelry. While the art is on 2nd Street, the beachfront City Park hosts local non-profit organizations serving up food (like clam chowder and crab cakes) and homemade baked goods. Unlike massive city festivals, this event is known for being laidback and friendly, allowing you to actually talk to the artists and enjoy the scenery.
