Members of the new “Cedar Key Book Club” met to discuss, “A Thousand Mile Walk To the Gulf” by John Muir.

What’s happening: I have been wanting to start a book club that is focused on Cedar Key books for a while. With one post on the I Love Cedar Key Facebook page, I was able to get enough interest to start the Cedar Key Book Club. As a group, we decided to read, “A Thousand Mile Walk To the Gulf” by John Muir. While we have over 200 people in our Facebook group, we had almost 20 join our first meet up at Sip & Sea Wine Bar on Dock St..

What’s next: We will pick one book a month that is in some way about Cedar Key. It can be fiction or non-fiction. We will meet up two times a month. Dates, times, and location will be announced through the private group. Whether you are a local, tourist, or live on the other side of the world, you are welcome to join!
